Who We Are

Elite Stars Academy of the Arts was founded by Mary Elizabeth Wigley. Mary Elizabeth started her dance training at 3 years old and by the age of 9 became a competitive dancer with Monticello Dance Academy. By the age of 15 she joined the competitive company as well as the pre-professional company at Rock City Dance Center. Mary Elizabeth traveled competitively and won numerous awards and scholarships on regional and national levels. She has traveled and trained with nationally renowned choreographers from NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago, Texas and more. Mary Elizabeth trained at Oklahoma City University and earned her BFA in dance at Sam Houston State University. Along with her degree she earned her Pilates teaching license. She has worked professionally in the industry for years before opening Elite Stars Academy of the Arts.  It was important to her to have first hand experience in the industry before training the next generation. Experience in real world auditions, traveling and seeing the industry in different cities, experiencing the work and demand that dance requires. It’s not easy, but she is here to show you it is POSSIBLE! Mary Elizabeth is best described as a strong willed, passionate artist, athlete, and leader. She has the tools to create the top professional and competitive dancers in the industry.
